OUR 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

East Lothian is famous for its golf, and more. There is so much to do, it almost warrants two, or three trips per year. Our accommodation providers offer a range of accommodation from B&B’s to exclusive use, and resorts to luxury hotels. Whilst our 21 courses speak for themselves. Here are our 12 Days of Golf Christmas…

Scotland's Golf Coast Christmas

12 Greenkeepers Mowing

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, No12 Hotel & Bistro in North Berwick. A comfortable bed and a home cooked meal. North Berwick is a fantastic harbour town to base yourself with the Marine Hotel, Seaholm B&B, Golf Lodge and North Berwick Holidays in town too. Not forgetting the East Links (the Glen), to accompany the world famous West Links (North Berwick).

On the eleventh day Christmas, my true love game to me, 22 Open Championships (well, double measures here) on Scotland’s Golf Coast, 16 at Muirfield and six at Musselburgh Old Links.Scotland's Golf Coast Christmas

10 PGA Pros Teaching

On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, two Top 10 GB & Ireland courses, Muirfield and North Berwick West Links. The 30 rooms at the Lodge at Craigielaw have been open for 10 years. Meanwhile, Gilmerton House’s 10 deluxe bedrooms can be taken exclusively.

On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, two 9-hole treats. The oldest golf course in the world, Musselburgh Old Links and Gifford, at the foot of the Lammermuir Hills.Scotland's Golf Coast Christmas

8 Seals Basking

On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, the stunning 8th hole at Kilspindie. Look from the tee across Gosford Bay and the Forth to the Edinburgh skyline including Arthur’s Seat and the Forth Bridges beyond. Both the Farmhouse and Greive’s Cottage at Papple Steading sleep eight.Kilspindie 8th On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, seven Scottish Opens in the past nine years. The Rolex Series event returns to the Renaissance in 2024. Luffness New is not so new. The club was established in 1894 and is a par 70 of the most quintessential links golf.

6 Friends Playing

On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me, the sixth oldest golf club in the world, at Royal Musselburgh. A James Braid classic, it’s always fun to play this parkland classic. The six rooms at Garleton Lodge are comfort and luxury personified.

On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, golf 365 days a year. Year-round golf at its finest. Shorts and a t-shirt in summer, to a woolly hat and thermals in winter, we’re here to welcome you. No par 5’s for men at Longniddry, but still plenty of challenging holes.

Four Calling Fore

On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, stunning views of the Forth, from the North Sea in the east, to Edinburgh in the west. 21 courses for all budgets and abilities. Don’t forget the Dean, winner of Channel 4’s ‘Four in a Bed’. On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me, three courses at Gullane. No’s 1, 2 and 3, all offering their own unique challenge and charm. The three properties at Winton Cottages also have their own character and style. Three-time Open winner, Henry Cotton played in the inaugural match at The Musselburgh Golf Club.

2 Perfect Birdies

On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, two courses at Archerfield. The Dirleton and the Fidra offer sweeping fairways, menacing bunkers and a relaxed and friendly welcome. Two accommodations in Dunbar – the Dolphin and Dunmuir, to accompany two courses – Dunbar and Winterfield.

An Eagle In A Pine Tree

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, one Scotland’s Golf Coast. The No.1 golf destination in Scotland.

Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
