If you want the perfect luxury venue for your Scottish golfing trip, Leuchie Walled Garden is the place to come.
It offers the unique combination of a stylish 1960s house in the secluded surroundings of a 200 year old walled garden. Surrounded by 60 acres of landscaped grounds and just two miles from North Berwick, the house has its own two hole pitching range for guests to practice before they set off for their day’s golf. Fully refurbished & redecorated in 2020, the house sleeps twelve in six ensuite bedrooms.
The huge glass wall lets the outside in, flooding your space with natural light and offering up marvellous views of the garden. The main rooms are all on one level and offer plenty of space for guests to relax. Inside, the modern building showcases a unique collection of antique books, furniture and eighteenth century family paintings, collected by the Dalrymple family over 300 years.
As the name suggests, the most striking feature of Leuchie is its magnificent walled garden which was built 200 years ago by Napoleonic prisoners of war. The gardens provide guests with total privacy and the chance to relax or play indoor and outdoor games.
“Even though the photos are excellent, they do not do this gorgeous property full justice. It is stunning. The house is flooded with light and views of the lovely garden are everywhere. The interior is very stylish and super cosy, with comfy beds and lovely bathrooms. A beautiful blend of the history of the house/family with new and modern comforts. The kitchen is fabulously well equipped , and there is plenty of space for gathering or for finding solitude. Everything is top quality, with lots of lovely details ; toiletries, lovely welcome hamper, fresh produce from the garden etc. A tranquil and peaceful setting – totally undisturbed. A truly lovely place – could not recommend it more!”
